A 28 years old female primigravida gives birth to a full term baby by normal per vaginal delivery. She is in her 5th day post delivery, she started developing breast tenderness. On examination, the breasts are tender bilaterally. She is started on Amoxicillin. The patient asks physician if it it is OK to breast feed the baby?
A. Stop breast feeding until the antibiotic course is finished
B. Stop breast feeding until the tender finishes
C. Do not stop breast feeding
D. Feed the baby expressed milk

Neither the antibiotic nor the organism is transmitted to the baby by breast feeding. The other options are just distractions!
This is a case of mastitis post delivery and breast feeding needs to be continued..
